Ashtanga Yoga de Coeur

Thank you to all who contributed to the Resto de Coeur Fundraiser Friday evening!!

 It was a big success!
Especially thank you to Carolina for her organization and dedication, here is a beautiful text written by her:
Holidays are special times of the year for celebrating life’s blessings, sharing love, and nurturing our sense of giving. Living inspired by yoga not only means being conscious about the others, but also nurtures our karmic sense of serving our community.
Currently, our generation is facing unprecedented crises. We are going through epidemics of obesity and malnutrition, as well as an environmental crisis that has placed food security at the heart of the debate. Some have decided to become vegetarians, others have gone for being vegan, super-foodies and rawdies(raw foodies). Some others have decided to consume only organic food, fair trade ingredients, or follow many other labels that describe where our food comes from.
The majority of yogis in the west –which comprise a small global minority– are extraordinarily lucky in two ways. Not only do we have access to a wide variety of options but we are also able to consciously choose what and how to eat. Unfortunately this is not the case for the majority of consumers in our world, who not only do not have access to sufficient healthy options but sometimes simply have nothing to eat.
Inspired by our yogic duty and the happy holiday times, Linda Munro and Gérald Disse founders of Ashtanga Yoga Paris hosted the donation-based Ashtanga Yoga du Coeur ~an evening of Chandra Namaskaras~ moon salutations led by Carolina Daza, a.k.a The Global Yogini, followed by an exquisite tasting offered by SOL Semilla ~a parisian vegan and super-foods boutique-resto~ to contribute in providing healthy foods, healthy lifestyles and true hope in those who need it the most.

Deep from our hearts we are grateful with all those who participated. We were able to raise 600€ donations for Restos du Coeur.
Thank you immensely!
